Very challenging to find this place. Our GPS told us where it was, and we drove right past it twice. In fairness to us, it was getting dark and it was raining at the time, so our ability to see wasn't the best. Also, we think that both times we passed by, there was a car exiting the driveway and the driveway is really only wide enough for one car at a time, so our view of the patio area of this restaurant was blocked. On our third time around, now determined to find this place, we located it. We made it in the door just before another cloud burst. It was much louder than we figured it would be... But that's on us, because the word "tavern" is in the name. The food was excellent. I ordered tater tots. They may have been the hottest tater tots I've ever been served. Both of us ordered a salad. I had salmon on top of mine. I think he had shrimp on top of his. You can see both salads in the photos. Both salads were very good. I would recommend this restaurant unless you want to have a quiet conversation-- that is probably not going to be possible. There is limited seating indoors, but we opted for indoors given how wet it was outdoors., but I'm not sure how long they lasted after the n

Great place for some good drinks , great tap, great food. Plenty of outdoor space if you wanna venture outside and also free parking. There’s fish behind the bar you can stare at and overall it’s always been a good time.

After our weekly walk adventure a friend suggested we stop by for lunch at Tavern 23. She said it was a 'hole in the wall' but the food is excellent. Well, was she RIGHT! Two of us had the Kale salad and another person had the Reuben. We shared a Beech Brie appetizer. Everything was delicious, fast, and very friendly service even though the place was hopping on a late Sunday afternoon!!! Highly recommend. ;-)

Great atmosphere, very cozy and family friendly. Upon arrival I was greeted by Jess and the girls they made me feel so welcomed, I felt that fit right in. Nice and clean, staff were very professional and helpful. Thank you Jess for making me feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite and a drink. Plenty of parking and outdoor dining. I recommend the Lobster roll and the Paloma cocktail.

We are from across the river just passing through so we picked based on ratings. It's very much a bar and smells like cigarettes. It's definitely a "regulars" hangout place. My boyfriend enjoyed it. The fries are good, brussel sprouts are alright. Entrees are edible. Service was friendly. If my boyfriend wants to come back I'll just wait in the car.
